Your time is precious.

So it's best you read this before even creating an account as a Teacher, wouldn't you agree?

We promise all our Students that we have screened and moderated all our 5StarTeachers and their content. Therefore we need you to show us what you've got i.e. the value that you intend to deliver to the Students on our platform. If we believe that is worthy of 5 stars, we will approve you as a 5StarTeacher on our platform. We don't work with a Teacher rating system because too many companies have used it to manipulate sales and their own users in the past. We are 100% against such practice.

– So how do I get my Teacher profile in the moderation queue?
You need to fill out all the required fields on your profile. The most noteworthy are:

1. First name
2. Last name
3. Phone number
4. Linkedin profile link
5. A profile picture
6. Your English level
7. Your top 3 skills
8. Your bank details (to get paid)

Next, every Teacher has to create the following before they can place their profile in our moderation queue:

1. 1 Single-session Course
2. 1 Personal introduction video (PIV)
3. 1 Course introduction video (CIV)
4. 50 Available Sessions

Once you set the "content status" of each of these items to "Ready to go!", your profile and content will show up in our moderation queue and our team will review everything and get back to you within 48 hours.

– So what happens after that?
If our moderation team approves your profile, our CEO will book one of your "Available Sessions" to have a quick 5-minute personal video call with you to establish a few things before you go live e.g. your personal appearance during a screen sharing session, to give some advice and to answer any questions you may still have. When you are approved, our Video Editors will add the 5StarTeacher Logo, your first name and/or your Course title as "lower-thirds" to your videos and upload them to our YouTube channel for us to market you in a consistent way. After that, everything will be live and then... you can start teaching subjects or topics that you are truly passionate about from wherever you are.
If our moderation team cannot approve your profile, you will receive a message that epxlains why and what you need to change in order to get approved.
Important note: if you choose to teach kids under 18, you must be able to show us a "Certificate of Good Conduct" issued by your local police and not older than 3 months. Just so you'd know.

– Why would I do this?
This seems like a lot of time and effort before I even know if I can start teaching and earning any money here.
True. This will take time and effort from your side to prepare your 5-star Course content, images and videos on what you are most passionate about and experienced in. And this is how we want it to be. 5-star Courses and videos are not created in 5 minutes time. We are sure you agree.

That being said, we are continually improving the platform to reduce your time spent. But take it from us, the rewards will be SWEET:

• free up precious time by teaching from anywhere
• earn money, create your own Courses and set your own prices*
• we take a 5% margin during your 1st month, after that it becomes 15%.
• choose the number of Sessions per offered Course: 1, 4, 12, or 24
• choose to teach only Single-session Courses or also Multi-session Courses
