A: "Allow repeated bookings" is a checkbox. When you check it, you allow Students to book that Course over and over again. Once you uncheck it, anyone who has bought that Course with you before, will not be able to book this Course again. This is often a great strategy to create recurring customers by requiring them to take on a greater commitment i.e. to buy the Multi-session version of this Course.

A: Sure. Case: Imagine you are a native Spanish speaker and so is your customer and let's say you are an expert in finance. You can choose to teach in Spanish, of course. Why not? Case: Imagine that you wanted to teach French and your Student's mother tongue is Japanese. That should be possible. But watch out! Make sure to set a required minimum English level on your Course so that your Japanese customer can communicate with you in case they can't express themselves in French. There must always be a common language for you to communicate with your customers. And as a Teacher, that is your responsibility. Note: you can also set up to 4 different languages on your Course to attract customers who speak those languages natively.

A: Case Student: Imagine you are a mother of an 8-year-old girl and you wanted her daughter to learn e.g. English but ONLY from a native English "woman". That should be possible. In order to make that possible, we have to ask for your biological gender. Case Teacher: Imagine that you are a female Teacher and you only wanted to teach "women". That should be possible. In order to make that possible, you can set a required gender on your Courses so that only people with that gender can buy your Course. This way, you can't be disappointed. We believe that is REAL value for both the Student and the Teacher. Note: We do not explicitly show anyone's gender on the platform, it's only used through search filters.

A: No. Why not? We do things differently. And we don't want to waste anyone's time. Your "paid" Single-session Course is the best opportunity to show your customer what value you are offering and the best opportunity for your customer (the Student) to experience you as a teacher, coach, consultant or expert in the field. So make sure that you have created a 5-star value Course with an attractive title, a concise and clear Course description and a confident Course Intro Video which will function as your sales pitch. And if that is all 5-star quality, we're sure they will buy.

A: Sure. We want you to have full control about who can see your Courses, who can book them and lots more features that will help you create your own audience and niche market in this marketplace so that you can stand out and teach the people you really want to teach.

Good question!

Our platform allows each Teacher to create different marketing strategies for each Course. The first and foremost thing is to create each Course with 5-star content: a great Course Introduction Video, description, title, tag line, tags, images, video thumbnail, etc.

Besides that, you can:

  1. Create a Course Request from your own Course
  2. Create an Added Value article and connect your Course to that so it will show up as an "ad" on the AV article.
  3. Provide a downloadable Course file. Then, once they pay, they can instantly download that file.
  4. In your Course description mention that you create specific tailor-made files for your Students when they buy the Course. Examples are: "audio recordings", "voice recordings", "downloadable files" e.g. code, calculations, spreadsheets, etc.
  5. In your Course description mention that "you" take the notes for your Student. Then, they can just watch, interact with you and review their notes any time after their Session.
  6. Use the default required settings for your audience so that you target the largest audience possible: Student level, English level, gender, etc.
  7. Set your required commitment to all commitments
  8. Set your classroom options to the most popular ones e.g. Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams, etc.
  9. Work together with Influencers: set the Influencer's coupon code and their email on your Course (these are never shown to anyone) They will do the marketing for you in return for an agreed deal you have with them.
  10. Provide a Single-session Course free of charge: set "your own coupon code" in order to do that. Then market this Course with the coupon code in your circles.

A: Currently we only pay out through Bank Transfer and Paypal so make sure that you fill out your bank details correctly on your profile. Do keep in mind that you will incur all bank charges for payments you receive from us. So in order to minimise these bank charges on your end, we've added an option for you to aggregate all your outstanding payments. Go to My Financial Transactions > Pending Course Payments. There you can see all your Courses that are completed and have outstanding payments. You can choose to have them paid out all in one amount on the 1st of the next month by clicking/tapping on the "Request Payment" button. That should reduce the bank charges on your end, and allowing you to keep more in the end. If your bank account is in Hong Kong, payments will occur faster and with far fewer costs because our bank account is in Hong Kong too (HSBC).

No, it doesn't. Students buy or they don't buy.

We ensure that you have lots of features and functionality that you can use to make your Course stand out. When Students search for Courses in which they are interested, we give every Course a chance to be found. We're not like Google who only float the most liked, most seen to the top. But the reason why they would buy your Course has everything to do with the value you offer in your Course, the Course price, the Course features you've set that are attractive to them (e.g. screen sharing options, course files, repeat bookings, coupon codes, influencer connections, etc.), and the quality of your Personal Introduction Video (PIV) and your Course Introduction Video (CIV).

A: You decide what price to set on your Courses based on "price options" we provide. Case: a math teacher values his time at USD 50/hr. He should be able to set that price. Case: another math teacher values her time at USD 150/hr. She should be able to set that price. Case: a business consultant values her time at USD 500/hr. She should be able to set that price. You should be able to set your price, wouldn't you agree? Okay, we work with price options to make things easy to compare. Price options for Single-session Courses: USD 25/hr, USD 35/hr, USD 50/hr, USD 75/hr, USD 100/hr, USD 125/hr, USD 150/hr, USD 200/hr, USD 250/hr, USD 300/hr, USD 350/hr, USD 400/hr, USD 450/hr and , USD 500/hr. Price options for 4-session Courses: USD 43/hr, USD 60/hr, USD 88/hr. Price options for 12-session Courses: USD 38/hr, USD 55/hr, USD 74/hr. Price options for 24-session Courses: USD 35/hr, USD 48/hr, USD 63/hr. Note: All Sessions are set for 1 hour.

A: We pay out every month on the 1st of the month, just like you would receive a salary. You can only be paid out if the Course you sold has been completed, i.e. if there are no outstanding Sessions for that Course, and you must also hit the "request payment" button on your Financial Transactions overview page for that Course to be included in your next payment. This last part is for you to aggregate your incoming payments in order to reduce the bank charges incurred from receiving your payments. Banks charge money for every transfer. All bank charges for our outgoing payments must be borne by the receiver, you. The fewer transfers you have, the lower your overal bank charge will be, and the more money you keep.

A: Any. Subjects can range from academic subjects for school or university to business and personal development or personal interest. Say you have great experience in beer brewing and you want to be a consultant for people who want to start out brewing beer, that's possible. So go find your best talent, gift or skill and start using that to generate an income from wherever you are, online, 1-to-1 via screen sharing.

A: The limit of your earnings depends on how many Courses you've sold, at what price you've sold them and how much of your earnings we keep. When you become an approved 5StarTeacher, we pay out 95% of your Courses you've sold during the 1st month of your approval. For all Courses you've sold after that first month, we pay out 85%.

A: Yes, you can. You have to show us that you have at least a lower-intermediate English level so that our Students know there will be a common language that you can use to communicate in any case. And if the Student speaks your native language, feel free to teach in your native language. It doesn't have to be English.

A: Subject-based English Courses or Subject-only Courses. 1. Subject-based English Courses are Courses where you learn a particular subject AND the English used for that subject. Example: English for Cabin Crew Trainees, English for Project Presentation, English for Hotel Operations, English for Teaching Math, etc. 2. Subject-only Courses are Courses where our Teachers only teach you the subject, nothing less, nothing more. Example: Japanese, Python, React, Vue.js, Maths, Machine Learning, etc.

A: 1) the acquired Student can report you at any time. And if they do, you are liable to prosecution, 2) it may be convenient for you as a Teacher but may be less convenient for the Student e.g. they have a guarantee, 3) you have to create, market and sell your own Courses on your own, 4) you will have to spend 'unpaid' time selling and pitching your Courses to potential customers, 5) you may not have the exposure to lots of potential customers who come here to find the right teacher, coach, consultant or expert in the field for them, 6) we'll make sure you'll miss the convenience by continuously improving the user experience on our platform. That's a guarantee.

A: It depends. You can reschedule your Session as long as you have: 1) available rescheduling quotas left, AND 2) the Course is not yet finished, AND 3) the Session you'd wish to reschedule has not past the Session expiry date yet. When you reschedule such a Session, it will disappear but you will receive 1 extra Session quota for booking Sessions. However, your rescheduling quotas will be reduced by 1. Case 1: Suppose you bought a 4-Session Course which started on 25 Mar 2025 and ends on 25 Apr 2025. As per usual, for each 4-Session Course you book, you get 1 Rescheduling Quota, i.e. 1 chance to reschedule a Session. Suppose you previously booked a Session for 21 Apr 2025 and you have not used your rescheduling quota yet. Suppose that today's date is 20 Apr 2025 and your Session has not passed the expiry date yet. You can still reschedule your Session but you must do so before the end date of the Course, in this case: before 25 Apr 2025. Case 2: You bought a Single-Session Course that has no rescheduling quotas on 25 Mar 2025. As per usual with Single-session Courses, your Course will end on 25 Apr 2025 i.e. 1 month after the start date. Today's date is 20 Apr 2025 and you booked a Session for 21 Apr 2025. If you can't be present for this Session, you'll lose the Session because you don't have any rescheduling quotas. You can still enter a message for the Teacher in the Session Notes of that Session explaining that you won't be able to attend and ask for notes or assignments. Your Teacher can see this, will understand and will provide the asked if possible.

A: There is a difference between cancelling and rescheduling. Rescheduling could be allowed if you still have Rescheduling Quotas left and your booked Session has not yet passed the expiry date. Then that's a reschedule. Cancelling is when either you have no more Rescheduling Quotas left or your booked Session expiry date has already passed (but the Session hasn't yet started). So if you cancel, the Teacher is automatically notified and they must still provide you with the Session notes for that Session and give you assignments if necessary so that not all is lost. Good or good?
